Tradition Doesn't Mean Old

This Summer my oldest sister is getting marry. I'm so excited and can't wait.
But all the weddings has preparation. Since my parents still believe in some traditions, we have so much things to do. Start from choosing the date, what kind of flower we should use, and the bla bla bla. One of married traditions that my mother believe is start from 3 days before the wedding day, the bride should turn on a couple lamps for 3 days and it should not be turn off until the wedding reception over. my mother said,  "it's symbolize of descendant" so it's really important.

The lamp that my Mom Choose before
So in order to help my sister with the preparation i company my mother to go shopping. We searching for lamp that my mother mention before. Then we found the lamp and OMG, i was surprised. It's freaking tacky!!! Still in my shocking face i said to my mom, "Are pretty sure we should put this lamp?" then my mother proudly said, "Yes!! Should we take the bigger one?" The bigger one?! I'm not quite sure we should use that lamp. So i asked my mom does any lamp will do? Then my mother thinks for a while than she said, "No one ever mention it has to be this lamp, but most of people use this kind of lamp."Most people? Damn..

The Shop Keeper seams to be annoyed by my mom #laughs

If that's the case why not we try using another lamp, a cute one, a beautiful one maybe. So we rounded all the place to find another lamp but there's not too much lamp in that place. But suddenly one of the store catch my eyes and i think hey why not? So i dragged my mom to that store and i'm asking the shop keeper, "Miss, can i take a look on that bird cage please?" But sadly it doesn't have much birdcage, so there's not too much choice so i choose the most good one in my opinion. One of my idea is using this bird cage as a lamp (even though it's not a new idea). Just with a little decoration and we put some bulb and than it would be good.

While my mom was trying to negotiate on price, i take a look at the store beside and my lucky day i found a flower shop. Although it was a fake flower but it's still beautiful. So i bring that bird cage (although my mom not finish yet with the negotiate and i wondering when will it be finish?) to that shop and ask the shop keeper to arrange it.

So the Shop keeper gave me many suggestion about the flower but since my sister so feminine so i choose the gold pink one and the purple for the accent. While i'm waiting for the bird cage i saw a bike with a bucket of flower it's so cute. I took two bikes too with apink rose but sadly the pink one is sold out so i just take the white one. It's not take a long time to arrange it and it's really beautiful. So after it was done i take it back to home and don't forget to buy some bulb.

That's the cute bike!!!
Thanks to the shop keeper

My cute buddies make this lamp perfect

When the lamps on

Then with my superb father (you're the best Dad, love you) we manage to chage the bird cage into a lamp. And it was so beautiful. Really proud for myself. And my mom and Sister like it so much. Thanks God.

So i smile to my Mom and tease her a liitle, "Follow the tradition doesn't mean to be old right?" Then she laughs and kiss my cheeks. Awww...
